KATHERINE MITCHELL Ph.D., LCSW, CASAC
Katherine Mitchell Ph.D., LCSW, CASAC is a New York State licensed clinical social worker who has been working in the field of substance use and recovery for 18 years.
As the owner and founder of East End Counseling LCSW, PLLC, Katherine is passionate about helping individuals, couples and families find their way to positive change in their lives, learn adaptive coping and effective communication skills and achieve sustained recovery from addiction.
LAURA RINALDI
Laura Rinaldi is a New York State Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and OASAS approved Impaired Driver Assessment Provider. She is experienced helping people with behavioral health issues such as substance use disorders, eating disorders, and a range of mental health challenges. She is proud to be part of East End Counseling which fosters an environment of non-judgment, empowerment, resources, and guidance to support you in your journey of discovery and change.
Laura specializes in recovery issues, group dynamics, issues of identity, adolescent/emerging adulthood issues and multiculturally-informed counsel. She acknowledges the significant impact sociopolitical factors can have on a person’s wellbeing, especially being involved in the criminal justice system. Laura takes a creative and relational approach to counseling, and she understands growing through individual and collective difficulty is a path toward healing and living your best life.
PAOLA QUICENO
Client Care Coordinator
Paola Quiceno, a native of Colombia, is a Certified Recovery Specialist (CRS) and the coordinator of the East End Counseling Spanish language DWI education/counseling program. Bi-lingual in English and Spanish, Paola is a passionate advocate for our clients, helping them navigate an unfamiliar culture during a difficult time.
Using evidence-based curriculum material, Paola develops the educational program content, adapting it to be educationally and culturally appropriate for the varied cultures and educational levels of our clients. She works closely with the office manager / client services coordinator and the clinical team to ensure that our clients successfully complete their counseling, and that all reporting requirements are met.
JEIMY HERNANDEZ
Office Manager / Client Services
Jeimy, a native of Costa Rica, is the office manager and client services coordinator for the East End Counseling Spanish language DWI education/counseling program.
Fully bilingual in English & Spanish, she provides assistance to our Spanish speaking clients in completing paperwork for court, DMV and ignition interlock issues, learning how to use the video conference technology for the DWI education group, advocating on behalf of the clients and assisting them with all phases of their court and sentencing process including applying for a New York State Driver’s license.
